ACCOMMODATION IN JARDINES DE LA REINA - AVALON FLEET
Tourism in the Jardines de la Reina Archipelago is still so restricted by the marine reserve rules that it is possible to say that it almost doesn’t exist. The divers’ and fishermen’s accommodation can only be arranged in the AVALON fleet: luxury yachts AVALON I, AVALON II, small floating hotel Tortuga (7 rooms), and typical safari ships Halcon (6 cabins) and la Reina (4 cabins).
MY AVALON I
It is a luxury yacht 33m long with two engines DETROIT MOTORS 550 HP and eight luxury two/three-bed cabins. The guests may use a saloon, bar, dining hall and PC workplace - everything with a very luxury design and covered with oak wood. You can’t find a more comfortable ship in Cuba. More photos...
MY AVALON II
It is the latest acquisition of the Avalon fleet, a luxury yacht with ten spacious luxury two-bed cabins - each cabin has a sanitary facility, air-conditioning and 110/220V sockets. The guests may use a saloon, dining hall, whirlpool and bar - everything with a decent luxury design. Without doubt, it is another of the most luxury yachts in Cuba. More photos...
MY AVALON III
The grandest and most spectacular crusing yacht providing the highest level of comfort and luxury. The 160 foot Jardines Avalon III is a luxury motor yacht with 15 staterooms, including 4 suites with balcony. All cabins have private bathrooms and 2 beds (double or twin), air-conditioned with individual thermostats. Jardines Avalon III has an overall capacity of 30 passengers and 12 crew members. Divers will dive using 3 shadowed 33 foot diving skiffs and have access to two Nitrox and two air compressors covering all of your diving needs. More photos...
Floating hotel TORTUGA
It is located in the centre of the archipelago in a protected bay, and it is anchored so well that it doesn’t move by a millimetre even during a strong storm. It has seven cabins, very luxury from the local point of view, out of which some are two-bedded, three cabins are three-bedded, and two cabins can be used as four-bedded. Each of them is air-conditioned with its own WC and bathroom. On the ground floor there is an air-conditioned dining hall and a very nice outdoor bar, and there are deck chairs for sunbathing on the roof. In addition, the guests may also use publicly available Wi-Fi (probably the only case in Cuba...) with satellite access. It serves most often for fishermen’s accommodation.More photos...
