THE WEATHER IN CUBA

Cuba is located in tropical climate with two distinguished weather seasons: winter time from November to April, and summer time from May to October. For travelling it is suitable for the whole year - with the exception of September, characterised by classic hurricane season. For scuba diving, swimming in the sea and relaxing on the beach in the winter, we recommend locations on the Southern (Caribbean) coast (Trinidad, Santiago de Cuba, etc..) than destinations (although famous) in the Northern (Atlantic) coast (Varadero, Cayo Levisa, etc..) In addition to higher temperature (Caribbean is up to 5 ° C warmer than the Atlantic), this is mostly because of the unpredictability of the Atlantic in the winter (frequent north winds, rains and big waves - with the possibility that several beaches may be closed ...) The main scuba diving season in Cuba begins in November and ends in May; the main fishing season begins in March and ends in July (it may vary from place to place) .
